Sugar head aches???

Filed under: Health — smitha @ 11:34 am

I find that whenever I eat donuts, drink mountain dew or any regular soda(coke dr.pepper etc) I get a head ache so bad I feel like I could and sometime do become physically sick to get ride of whatever is in my body. And once I ate at a ihop(lots of sugar in that meal) and later passed out in class and at the er took my blood sugar they said it was so low that they would have though I had not eaten in a day or more!!!(They did it several times because they though they had done it wrong) The head ache comes on and then usually about 15-20min later the sick feeling comes on. I am ok if I avoid very sugary foods, and inmy daily diet I am able to do this but sometimes I miss count and it occurs, so I was wondering if this kind of responce should warnt a doctors visit, I’m asking cause I pay out of pocket and want second opinions before I spend that kind of money? So normal reaction? or doctors?

You need to see a physician and get a fasting glucose test- it is a 5-6 hour testing and during it, you will be given a very sugary coke type mixture to drink…and you will most likely feel the sugar “high” and get a headache…and as they monitor you, you most likely will have your levels plummet into the danger zone which is below 70…which consists of shakes, sweats, headache and irritability. You have diabetes and need to see a doc to get meds. Diet alone - cutting out sugary foods, is usually not enough since all carbohydrates raise your blood sugar levels. A dietician is needed to get you on a good healthy diabetic diet. If you do not have insurance, go to the ER of the best hospital in your area–a teaching hospital is usually the best, they will not bill you if you don’t have money or insurance…please go ASAP…the longer you go untreated, the more at risk you are for the never-ending list of side effects from diabetes. …good luck to you.

——-

Sounds like hypoglycemia to me. I had it for decades and then developed diabetes, type 2. The same thing happened to my mother.

Get your doctor to do a Glucose Tolerance Test. It will tell him what’s going on when you eat sugar.

Get it checked out every year, because its not unheard of for it to change to diabetes sooner or later, which is far more seroius.

Do not put it off, this is NOT normal.

Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:

Not everyone with type 2 diabetes has symptoms, particularly in the early stages of the disease. In fact, one-third of the over 18 million Americans with type 2 diabetes are unaware that they have the disease.1

Type 2 diabetes symptoms may include one or more of the following:

Excessive thirst
Frequent urination
Extreme hunger
Unexplained weight loss
Fatigue, or a feeling of being “run down” and tired
Rapid breathing
Blurred vision
Dry, itchy skin
Headache
Tingling or burning pain in the feet, legs, hands, or other parts of the body
High blood pressure
Mood swings
Irritability, depression
Frequent or recurring infections, such as urinary tract infections, yeast infections, and skin infections
Slow healing of cuts and bruises

Unlike type 1 diabetes, which frequently has a sudden onset of symptoms and reaches a crisis point before diagnosis is made, the signs of type 2 diabetes may be gradual and more insidious. Often, the first symptoms that people with undiagnosed type 2 diabetes experience are those from complications of the disease, such as blurry vision (retinopathy) or foot pain (neuropathy).

If you’re experiencing any of the type 2 diabetes symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider immediately for medical evaluation.

WAKE UP!!!!!!!! You are eating the wrong foods and you know it. IHOP? DONUTS? Mountain DEW??? ARE YOU SERIOUS??? FOR REAL? Ok diabetes is curable…yes thats true, doctors are even now realizing that diabetes comes from consistantly eating the wrong foods…and guess what kind of foods…PROCESSED. Sugar is processed…it is not naturally white…In fact white table sugar and table salt are both CHEMICALS…YEP POISIONS. THEY DO NOT EXIST IN NATURE. So all the things you are eating contains 300x’s a normal persons daily limit and over 4000grams of sugar. YOU ARE SLOWLY KILLING YOURSELF.

Any humans body regulates glucose, it is what our body uses to supply itself with energy. However americans are eating things loaded with other types of sugars like: Fructose, Maltose, Dextrose, Glucose, High Fructos Corn Syrup, Malodextros….all these things are chemically created sugars, the glucose in foods that are not natrually in them are chemically created, and POISONOUS. Our bodies cant process these sugars because they already are processed and therefore wreak havoc on our control systems because there is an overload.

Blood sugar should be between 60 and 110 normally. Rising to about 145 after eating. Lower than 60 means your body isnt getting enough GOOD GOOD Forms of food to convert to sugar. Like Whole foods. So when you eat or drink soda, donuts, pancakes the sugars in them get absorbed into the blood super quick, and as quickly as they are absorbed the spike happens peaks, then you are down again, because your body needs sugars that are realeased into the blood slowly and continuously.

IT IS NOT HARD TO GET ON A DECENT MEAL PLAN. YOu already said you are ok if you avoid sugary foods, so you know what sugary foods are. You can eat as many green vegetables as you want. You can eat as many fruits as you want providing they are done before they are excessivly ripe and full of sugars. Drink water and avoid store bought juices that contain sugars. Read labels…DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THAT HAS THE ABOVE INGREDIENTS IN PARAGRAPH 2. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT eat artificial sweetners, they are very very acidic and deaths have occured from eating them…SERIOUSLY NO SPLENDA, SWEET n LOW, EQUAL or anything that isnt RAW SUGAR.

You can get yourself back together, you can be happy and have a normal life, you just have to be smart and try something different.

Who owns the land in the US?

Filed under: Science And Mathematics — smitha @ 4:56 pm

Besides the US government, who owns the land and why do they own it? Who they bought it from? I’d be interested in buying a small plot in the US or Canada, say 10 acres, how could i find one?

Depending on what your interests are regarding owning farmland… do you want pasture ground or land to raise crops on. Much of this can depend on the location in which you wish to buy the land.

I would suggest that you work with a real estate agent who works with farmland specifically, rather than an agent who mainly sells homes and land on the side. Real estate agents who specialize in farmland sales can help you with particulars of soil types, drainage issues, government payment from the USDA and a whole host of other issues that residential agents may not be familar with.

You can possibly check in the local area that you have interest in buying land with the counties Farm Bureau office and ask for several references of farm managers who have real estate licenses for the respective state that you are buying in. Do not buy directly from the listing agent as they cannot truthfully represent their client and you at the same time without being a dual agent. This is tricky. Attain a buyer’s agent to represent you in the transaction and be clear that your agent is to be compensated by the selling agent. The selling agent should share approximately one half of the commission with your agent. So it is to your benefit to attain someone who will represent you through to the closing for the purchase of your land. You may look in the telephone yellow pages for “farm managers”, “farm appraisers” or under “real estate” and be sure they understand farm issues before accepting them as your agent.

SOME land is federally owned and are parklands, gamelands, as with the government offices in Washington, DC or other lands that are called Superfund sites which are polluted land which is slated for or in the process of being remedied….
All the other land is owned by corporations or people.. If you are interested in buying property, there are millions and millions of acres for sale in the USA and Canada.
To make sure all things legal are paid attention to, I would contact a real estate professional
In the usa: remax.com, century21.com, coldwellbanker.com…….and many many others

Dallas Criminal Lawyers

Filed under: Society And Culture — smitha @ 4:20 am

A Dallas criminal attorney is the person to call if you have been charged with a crime. They can handle cases from misdemeanors to felonies. A misdemeanor offense is charged for a relatively minor crime while more serious crimes are felonies. The difference between the two is often noted in the punishment given. Punishment for a felony carries more than a year imprisonment in a penitentiary, while those convicted of a misdemeanor often serve a year or less confinement, but not in a prison.

Your Dallas criminal defense lawyer can help you understand whether or not your case ended with a settlement. A settlement is an agreement reached in a case, negotiated by both parties involved. A plea bargain may be offered by the prosecutor and may reduce the seriousness of the charge, or reduce the number of charges filed in return for a guilty plea, or cooperation with other cases.

Because every crime except murder carries an expiration date, or statute of limitation, it is critical that you start searching for legal representation as soon as possible. You deserve the best fighting for your side, so for expert legal advice, contact Dallas criminal lawyers today.

Rented Textbooks is a Better Alternative

Filed under: Education And Reference — smitha @ 3:50 am

While more and more students are enrolling each term, the need for textbooks also increases. Parents have shelled out bucks upon bucks for textbooks alone. Well, now, there is a much better alternative for budget-conscious parents and students — textbook rental.

There are now many online stores for used textbooks or new ones that are being rented out. These stores are the brain works of some university graduates who were looking for ways to improve the academic lives of their fellow students and, of course, to pocket some income. Upon the introduction of such a concept, students have since flocked online and have purchased numerous books.

To rent textbooks, all that a student has to do is to go online and purchase using any of the payment methods that stores provide. There millions of used textbooks can be found each year and these could serve better and longer purposes when other students buy them. Even with the shipping fee included, these books are still less expensive when compared to the new ones that students buy from bookstores.

Students spend hundreds of dollars for their textbooks and this need not be the case anymore. The rent textbook idea is one that could teach them to save money for other needful things. With this new concept, forget having to buy new books and switch to the equally-useful ones at a lower price!

Getting Your Own Nerf Bars to Maximize Safety and Convenience

Filed under: Cars And Transportation — smitha @ 2:46 am

If you would like to increase the functional value of your truck, you should equip it with the right accessories such as the nerf bars for truck. But what are nerf bars? To most people nerf bars are metal side steps. These are those tubular bars that are placed on the undersides of your truck to serve as steps so you’d find it easy to get in and out of your truck.

Nerf bars for trucks are great for providing safety to children and older people who get in and out of the truck. Trucks, by nature, have high-ground clearance so you’d be able to provide maximum safety to your kids when they have nerf bars to step on to.

Aside from the ease of getting in and out of the truck, you’d be able to give protection to the vehicle’s body. Online, you can find all sorts of nerf bars. From stainless steel nerf bars, chrome bars or powder-coated nerf bars, they come in different sizes, shapes and designs.

The nerf bars for trucks are commonly referred to as boss bars or step bars. If you want to maximize your truck’s functionality, you should definitely place nerf bars on your truck. Having them allows you to protect your truck from the dangers of severe weather conditions or while you are traversing dangerous road tracks. With nerf bars, you are assured of extra protection during frontal or side collision. GP

Fastest way to break in my Hockey skates??

Filed under: Sports — smitha @ 11:37 am

Can anybody tell me the fastest way to break in my skates?

Most places that sell skates have a machine that “bakes” your skates after you buy them. How it works is, you put your skates on and then your feet go into a machine. The air is compressed and then the chamber gets hot (doesn’t hurt) and the skates form to the curves and layout of your feet. It still takes a skate or two to get truly used to them, but baking really helps.

——

The best way to break in your skates is to wear them, pick yourself up a pair of skate guards and spend some quality time with your skates, wear them around your house, while you watch TV, make food etc. and before you know it, they’ll fit like a glove. Also make sure you time them nice and tightly so that they can ‘form’ to your foot. The accelerated method involves the use of a moist sock, I believe it helps to loosten the skate and then it dries and hardens in position.
