I have been trying to choose a new GPS product. I know that the garmin 296 is a great one and it is what I have at the moment but I would really like to update. I was attracted to the fact that you can adapt it to use it in the car if you want to, which is a great feature and will save you having to buy an additional unit for the car. This will not only save you some money but save you having to work out how to use two different pieces of equipment which will save you a lot of time. The integrated weather display is really useful on the garmin as well and it could save you a lot of time and hassle while you are flying. Many people are raving about it and so I was almost tempted to just buy it but I am hunting around for the best price at the moment, hoping that I can find a company with a sale on so that I can save some money. I am always on the look out for a bargain!
