YZ suspension problem please help?
On my 2006 YZ125, the back end of the bike looks lower than the front end. it does not appear to sit level. when i lift up on the back fender it lifts about 1-1/2 inches. and when i let go it sags back down that same amount. how can i adjust this so that it does not sag so much and get it to stay up where it belongs
take hammer and a long punch to turn the spanner nut on the top of the rear shock spring (bottom spanner nut, there are two, the top one is a locking nut that you might have to loosen a little bit) to compress the spring. this will force the rear of the bike upward by compressing the spring.
click here http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcy… and then click on the diagram for “rear suspension” for an exploded view of all the parts.
but just because it looks like it’s setting low isn’t the proper way to set the sag. reference the below….
here are some tips for properly setting the sag.
